I spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with Christian's family... so why not Easter? For holidays the Ongs don't like to cook, they like to go out to eat, but the only thing open are Asian restaurants, so today we went to Japan town in San Francisco and had Korean food. It was exciting because it was one of the Korean places where you get to BBQ your food at the table. Korean food is something that Christian and I eat on a regular basis. There is a restaurant that we go to on almost a weekly basis called Choi's. It is delicious, the service is horrible, but the food is amazing. One time the server didn't bring us bowls for our tofu stew and Christian asked a few times for bowls. After about 20 minutes with no bowls he walked up to the front and got 2 of the Styrofoam to go cups and we used those to eat our stew. But we still go back all the time because the food is worth the bad service.
Christian and I also went to see "How to Train Your Dragon'. Now Christian had no desire to see this movie at all... but I really wanted to see it so he reluctantly agreed. Soon after the movie started I could tell that he really was enjoying it, and when it was over he said it was a great movie.. which it was so I was right. By the way, it was raining pretty hard all day yesterday, and my tire pressure light came on. Poor sweet Christian took it to the gas station in the pouring rain and checked the tire pressure for me. I was so grateful that he does stuff like that for me, and never complains:)
The other exciting thing that happened was there was a big earthquake in Mexicali that was felt all over San Diego, 7.2. I got lots of phone calls from family and friends telling me about it. My mom said that it was the biggest, longest lasting earthquake she has ever felt. I'm happy that all of my loved ones are safe. It also made me very grateful for cell phones, I'm glad that I can so easily call my family and friends that are far away and know that they are ok:)

Crispy Eggs
Today is the Day before Easter and the celebrations continue. This morning started out with a text from my little sister to remind me that today was General Conference and that I should watch it. I really enjoy watching General Conference. It's fun to get the benefits of going to church while wearing my pjs. I also love hearing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Music has a soothing power over me. I also got a text from my Dad today. I've probably received only a handful of texts from my dad in my entire life. But he texted me just to say I love you. That made my day. After conference I went on a run again... I'm on a roll:) But again someone honked at me... I don't know why this week people kept honking at me as I was running... perhaps my my shirt was see through o something, I really don't know, but it was pretty annoying. After I took a shower and got dressed Christian came to pick me up and we went to San Francisco for dinner. We had Sushi at a sushi boat place. I love sushi, especially when it is sushi boat cuz I can have just a little bit of everything. We are staying at his parents house in San Francisco tonight so we can be here tomorrow for Easter. We decided on our way here to stop at the store and get ingredients to make eggs out of rice crispy treats. It wasn't really the best plan we've ever had because we didn't have an egg shaped cookie cutter, so we had to shape it with our hands, and these pictures our the result:)

Bunny Time

Today was probably the best day I've had at work in a long time... the reason for that is we had an Easter egg hunt:) I love Easter egg hunts. Whenever I think of Easter egg hunts I think of one of the most controversial moments in the history of my family. I was probably 10 or 11 years old... which made my youngest brother about 2 or 3. My family has this rule for Easter and Christmas, we have to wait in my parents room until they call us to come out. When we came my dad would record our reactions as we saw all of our surprises. Well this year something happened as we all were coming out. Things got a little bit rough and my youngest brother got knocked over and trampled. My dad was furious and sent us all back to the room to wait and then come out again. Many many years later we were going through old family videos and we came across the tape that had this moment on it. Well, when you watch the video it appeared as if I was the one who knocked my brother over, and soon my entire family was making fun of me saying that I was the mean one. However, if you watch the tape more carefully, my older brother pushed into me causing me to push my younger brother over. But as much as I argued this point and showed the tape to my family, they didn't care, I got the blame:( It's ok though, because I still love Easter egg hunts. It was probably pretty entertaining for my boss to watch her fully grown adult employees run around trying to find Easter eggs. It was a lot of fun.
About a month ago my co worker Nicholas and I started taking walks on our lunch breaks. I went to the website runwalkjog.com to map out our walk. Every day we walk about .75 miles. I love our walks because Nicholas and I can talk about everything. By the way, Nicholas is my gay husband. I think every girl should have a gay husband, it's so nice and refreshing to get the opinion of the opposite sex when there is no underlying tensions. So long story short, Nicholas helps my day be better.

Can I get your number?
Today was a great day for one reason... I got to talk to Olaina!!!! Olaina is one of My most favoritest (I know it's not really a word) people in the whole wide world. This is why Olaina is my favorite:
1. No matter how I'm feeling she can make me laugh
2. She ALWAYS tells me I'm hot
3. She let's me call her Olaina when her name is really Elaina
4. Even though she knows she sucks at owning pets, every time she comes across a new type of animal she gives it a shot.
5. Flying crackers
6. We bonded over Slurpees and Nerds Ropes
7. She emails me at work
8. She is an ambassador to fun
9. The first night we ever hung out she told me all people with curly hair are crazy... because it's the craziness trying to get out... and that night my hair was natural... meaning it was very curly
10. When she found out that my name on my birth certificate is actually Kathleen and not Katie she was personally offended and said "I don't even know who you are!"
11. She forgave me for telling her my name is Katie
The only thing that bothers me about Olaina is she lives in Virginia, and that is way too far away. My plan is to someday live in the same city as her again... well at least the same coast.
I went running again today! That's 2 days in a row. And thankfully it wasn't raining, BUT as I was running and almost home this guy honked at me, then screamed out the window "Can I have your number?" Really? Did he really think that would work? haha I will admit though, it was a confidence booster:) And on that note, everyone should watch the following skit from Mad TV... because it is awesome!!!!
